Job Title: CMS Excellence Lead
Job Purpose:
· CMS Excellence Lead is responsible for the governance, integrity, and continuous evolution of the Control Framework, ensuring that all policies, procedures, codes of practice, and specifications are coherent, up to date, consistently applied, and aligned with enterprise risk management, regulatory expectations, and organizational strategy.
· Acting as the central authority for governance standards across, the role enables clarity, consistency, and disciplined ways of working across all directorates. The role sits within the Finance Centre of Excellence and operates as a cross-functional governance authority, supporting wider Finance Transformation and operating model redesign objectives.
· Own the CMS as the single, authoritative repository for all governance documents. Ensure completeness, accuracy, accessibility, and integrity of all framework components. Drive improvements in usability, structure, and navigation of the CMS platform.
· Advise leadership and transformation teams on governance implications of organisational and process changes. Ensure governance is embedded early in new initiatives, projects, and operating model changes. Balance governance discipline with agility and business practicality.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Engineering, Law, Information Management, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in governance, risk, quality, finance, project management, or organisational effectiveness are advantageous.

Relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not mandatory, such as:
· CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CGMA
· CIA, CRMA
· ISO Governance or Risk certifications
· Project Management or Change Management certifications
· Equivalent professional credentials

Experience:
· Typically 8–12 years of experience in governance, business excellence, process management, risk, compliance, quality management, transformation, document control, or related disciplines.
· Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or improving enterprise frameworks, standards, policies, procedures, or management systems.
· Experience working across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders in complex organisational environments.
· Exposure to large-scale transformation, operating model, process improvement, or governance initiatives is advantageous.
· Experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, Government, Utilities, or other large organisations is beneficial but not essential.
· Experience with enterprise content management, document management systems, or digital governance solutions is desirable.
