Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesTo inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and trucks to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations at landfill and transfer station sites. The role covers daily inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance, major repairs, breakdown response, and support for CMMS-based maintenance workflow.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily routine checks of all assigned equipment and trucks, including visual inspection, fluid levels, leaks, and functional operation.Perform weekly inspections and report abnormalities for corrective action.Carry out preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance, and major maintenance work on heavy equipment and trucks as per OEM and site schedules.Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment, including:Excavators, Dozers, Compactors, Track LoadersBackhoe Loaders, Wheel LoadersMaterial Handler with Grappler & Cutting ToolDiesel Generators (CAT & Perkins)Carry out maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers, including:Forklifts, Skid Steer Loaders (Bobcat)Wood Shredder MachineDiesel Generators (CAT & Perkins)Carry out maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers, including:Hooklift Trucks, Prime Movers, Waste Compactor TrailersTruck brands: Scania, MAN, Astra, Renault
