FUNCTIONS: Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Complying with service standards, work instructions and requirements. Installation of split AC and Window AC. Assisting during the installation of package HVAC. Preventive maintenance of all type of air conditioning. Corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of split AC and package AC. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and installation skills related to HVAC. Repairs of leakages in condenser coils by copper bracing/welding. RESPONSIBILITIES: Working under Maintenance Department and reports directly to the Foreman/Supervisor. Performs all duties according to Company Policies and Procedures Availability to work outside of standard hours, including nights, weekends, to respond immediately to emergency or specific requests from the supervisor. Adheres to company's Quality, Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures. Adheres to company's HR Policies and Procedures. Supporting other departments during emergency situations as instructed by line manager. SKILLS PROFILE: Critical Thinking skills. Trouble shooting of AC related issues. Basic electrical skills. Team Player. Communication skills. Coordination skills. Familiar to tools (vacuum pump, multimeter, bracing etc). ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: Industrial Technical Course in Air Conditioning or similar. Diploma holder. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience in various AC maintenance activities, installation, and repair activities, demonstrating familiarity with commercial/industrial grade system. KNOWLEDGE OF: Comprehensive knowledge of professional methods and best practices for the maintenance of HVAC/R systems, tools, machinery, and equipment. Knowledge of split AC, ducted AC, cassette type AC installation and maintenance. Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle, charging, leak detection, and regulatory requirements. Skills in understanding of electrical troubleshooting in HVAC.
