<p dir = "auto">To support the management to lead the Department to a new level of HSE capability and performance by analyzing HSE performance, recommending improvements and implementing</p>
<p dir = "auto">Departmental HSE systems.</p>
<p dir = "auto"><strong>ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<p dir = "auto"><strong>1.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<p dir = "auto">Actions tasks and initiatives to change behavior and improve the teams’ levels to enable improved HSE outcomes:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Builds relationships with the Team. Coaches and advises the Teams to build HSE capability and achieve changes in behavior</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers Training Programs</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers Departmental Safety inductions and maintains records</p>
<p dir = "auto">Advises Managers and Teams on ways of identifying and controlling risks. Responds to HSE queries</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers HSE services to ensure high levels of safety and compliance:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Attends safe-start meetings. Coaches and supports the Supervisors to ensure changes in behavior on the part of the teams</p>
<p dir = "auto">Participates in safe teamwork meetings and de-briefs</p>
<p dir = "auto">Regularly checks HSE Systems (permits, lock out and isolation compliance, PPE, Waste Management, Fire Equipment and Systems, Mobile Equipment, Safety Behavior, daily workplace inspections, daily checks on site</p>
<p dir = "auto">Implements and executes programs to communicate HSE goals and performance and to continually reinforce key messages (e.g., Set up Departmental HSE bulletins and HSE communication boards)</p>
<p dir = "auto">Action weekly and monthly reporting, enter information into the DPC Management Information System:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Review Near Misses, Leaders’ HSE Contacts, Major Risk Focus and mobile equipment usage and records results in reports or internal memos. Reviews HSE events and discuss with the Team Leaders</p>
<p dir = "auto">Prepare environmental report and follow up with external parties and authorities all issues related to environmental. Apply and maintain all environmental certificates up to date</p>
<p dir = "auto">Measure and report KPI’s, present to Team Leaders and publish on the Notice Board</p>
<p dir = "auto">Develop the teams to deliver a step up in HSE awareness, capability and performance</p>
<p dir = "auto">Take action to drive change in behaviors:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Recruit HSE representatives from each team. Train and develop the teams</p>
<p dir = "auto">    Administers the Departmental HSE System to ensure compliance and to drive continuous improvement:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Analyze HSE data, report progress against Departmental HSE Objectives. Deliver clear, actionable HSE reports and improvement recommendations</p>
<p dir = "auto">Track action items and highlight outstanding items still needing to be closed off</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers technical advice and services to enable high standards of HSE and delivers continuous improvement:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Advises on HSE Legislation and standards and their application in the workplace</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers technical and compliance advice to staff and management</p>
<p dir = "auto">Responds effectively to non-routine and emergency HSE issues, including workplace incidents and injuries</p>
<p dir = "auto">Aligns departmental HSE Policies and Practices with DPC Corporate HSE requirements and with other Departments</p>
<p dir = "auto">Carry out risk assessment within their defined functional or technical area of business</p>
<p dir = "auto">Co-ordinates the development of control measures and/or contingency plans to mitigate these risks or the effects of incidents arising from them</p>

<p dir = "auto"> The Job Holder:</p>
<p dir = "auto">Works in the HSE Department under the supervision of the HSSE Manager</p>
<p dir = "auto">Delivers analysis and recommendations to Operations, Maintenance Managers</p>
<p dir = "auto">Develops and executes Departmental Programs and delivers services</p>
<p dir = "auto">Performs all duties and responsibilities assigned by his/her line Manager, but not specifically stated in this description</p>

<p dir = "auto">Coaches Supervisors and other people-leaders to develop their HSE skills</p>

<p dir = "auto"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>
<p dir = "auto">Bachelor’s Degree Must in a relevant field HSE or Environment plus IOSH &amp; NEBOSH qualified with 5 years direct HSE experience</p>
<p dir = "auto">OR</p>
<p dir = "auto">Diploma in a relevant field HSE or Environment plus IOSH &amp; NEBOSH qualified with 6 years direct HSE experience</p>
<p dir = "auto">OR</p>
<p dir = "auto">         IOSH &amp; NEBOSH qualified with 7years direct HSE or Environment experience</p>
<p dir = "auto"><strong>Minimum Experience</strong>:</p>
<p dir = "auto">At least 5 years’ experience in an Industrial Power Plant and 5 years of HSE and Environment experience</p>
<p dir = "auto">Needs and constraints, legal and public relations constraints, budget, planning and organizational change management procedures.</p>
