Electrical & planning - Substation

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical & Planning – Substation role based in Muscat. The role involves planning, designing, and reviewing electrical systems for substations within real estate development projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The individual will coordinate with design teams, consultants, and contractors to develop electrical layouts, equipment specifications, and power distribution plans that support project timelines and budget constraints. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting technical assessments, preparing documentation and reports, overseeing installation and commissioning activities, and supporting quality control and risk management for substation-related works. The role also requires close collaboration with project managers and other disciplines to integrate substation planning into broader development and infrastructure strategies.Qualifications 10–15 years of experience in Electrical and Planning, with relevant experience in Substation projects.Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Electricity and Power Generation principles relevant to substation planning and operation.Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering, including interpreting technical drawings and applying industry standards.Candidates should possess experience working with Electrical Equipment used in substations and related distribution systems.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in power systems or substation design are an advantage.Experience in substation projects within real estate or infrastructure developments, including planning, installation, and commissioning.Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams, manage technical documentation, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.Strong understanding of safety regulations, relevant codes, and best practices in electrical engineering and substation operations.
