Overall, Purpose of the Role:

Karwa Motors is looking for a newly graduated firefighter to work in the Department of Health, Safety and Environment, as well as in accidents and emergencies. The job's duties are to quickly respond and protect the company, especially the factory, from any environmental disasters or errors resulting in fires, property protection, equipment maintenance and inspection, and tasks that fall under the occupational health and safety section.

Reporting To:

HSE Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
• Rapid response to any fire alarm issued at the company's site.
• Understand the mechanism of operation and inspection of firefighting and rescue equipment and ensure that they are working well.
• Provide emergency medical services in compliance with applicable standards.
Develop and qualify the company's employees and workers in firefighting and health and safety courses related to health and safety.
• Investigate fire and HSE-related accidents to determine causes or discover significant outcomes.
• Submission and follow-up of monthly reports and proposals submitted after the health, safety, environment, and accidents meetings.
• Developing, improving, and following up on environmental schedules and orders issued by the relevant departments and ministries in the country.
• Writing accurate reports after accidents and submitting them to the department's health, safety, and environment supervisor.
• Preparing meetings, seminars and awareness posters on fire, health, safety, and the environment.
• Participate in firefighting drills to stay alert and keep up to date with job duties
• Assist with public education programs to help prevent serious fire accidents.
Skills and Attributes:

• Scientific and practical knowledge of firefighting sciences and how to combat them.
• Working knowledge of firefighting equipment and devices.
• Knowledge of first aid / cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods.
• Willingness to follow legal rules, guidelines, and firefighting standards at all times.
• Great physical strength and ability to respond to potential emergencies.
• Practical mind and ability to solve problems.
• Successfully pass firefighting tests (written, physical, psychological, etc.).
• Accredited courses in the basics of firefighting.
• An Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) certificate is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Firefighting Science or equivalent.
Fresh graduate.
Omani National only.
Additional certifications are a plus for the candidate
