HSE Trainer

An HSE Trainer for oil and gas develops and delivers health, safety, and environmental training programs, conducts worker safety inductions, and ensures operations comply with energy sector regulations and high-risk site standards like PTW, H2S safety, and emergency response
Key Responsibilities
• Training Delivery: Run classroom and on-site sessions covering site inductions, permit-to-work (PTW), confined space entry, and working at heights.
• Program Design: Create specialized training materials, presentations, and toolbox talk content tailored to upstream/downstream oil and gas risks.
• Competency Assessment: Evaluate worker knowledge, identify skills gaps, and track training matrices for employees and contractors.
• Safety Drills: Facilitate emergency mock drills (fire, H2S release, spill response) and review safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in HSE, with specific training or field experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical sector.
• Certifications: NEBOSH (IGC/Diploma), IOSH, OSHA Trainer, and a recognized Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certificate.
• Core Skills: Strong public speaking, knowledge of hazard identification (HAZID/JSA), and profound familiarity with lifesaving rules in oilfields
