Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesWe are hiringHead of Learning Support Department – ​​Special Educational Needs (SEN Learning Support Leader)Muscat, Sultanate of OmanOur Planet International School is looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Learning Support to join its academic leadership team.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing learning support services provided to students with special educational needs, and ensuring the application of inclusive practices and effective interventions to support student success.Main tasks and responsibilities:• Leading and supervising the Learning Support / Special Educational Needs (SEN) department• Developing and implementing comprehensive learning support strategies and appropriate intervention plans• Supporting and guiding teachers in adapting teaching methods and classroom facilities as needed• Monitoring student progress and ensuring appropriate and effective support plans are in place• Working closely with students, parents, teachers, and external specialists to support students' needs• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to school policies and procedures.• Providing training and professional guidance to employees regarding inclusive education practices• Participation in school leadership meetings, planning, and professional development programsRequirements:• Bachelor's degree in Education – Learning Disabilities/Special Education or a related field• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of Learning Support/Special Educational Needs (SEN), including leadership responsibilities• Previous experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) programs is an added advantage• Non-native English speakers are required to have an IELTS score of at least 6
