<h2 dir = "auto">General Purpose </h2>
<p dir = "auto">The Logistics & Warehouse Director leads all warehousing operations (silo, closed warehouses, and open yards), inventory control (raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and spare parts), and distribution operations (inbound/outbound logistics), ensuring maximum efficiency, compliance with food safety regulations, and accuracy in receiving and dispatching.</p>
<h2 dir = "auto">Main Accountabilities</h2>
<ul dir="auto">
<li><strong>Operations Leadership:</strong> Directs receiving, warehousing, distribution, and managing stock levels for both raw materials and finished flour products, in coordination with sales and production counterparts, while improving efficiency and operational excellence.</li>
<li><strong>Inventory Management:</strong> Ensures strict control over inventory (FIFO/FEFO methods) to manage product freshness and prevent contamination and conducts regular cycle counts for full physical inventory to ensure minimal variance between inventory records and physical stock.</li>
<li><strong>Logistics & Distribution:</strong> Oversees the route planning and ensures appropriate management of product dispatch to customers or third-party warehouses.</li>
<li><strong>Policies and Procedures:</strong> Lead the formulation, implementation, and updating of related policies, processes, and procedures.</li>
<li><strong>Team Development:</strong> Recruits, trains, coaches, and supervises departmental staff.</li>
<li><strong>Contracts Management:</strong> Overseeing the outsourced services contracts, including transportation of raw materials and finished goods, forklift operators, ship unloader operators, loading/unloading crews, and third-party warehouses.</li>
<li><strong>Managing Assets:</strong> Manages the maintenance and safe operation of forklifts, conveyors, ship unloaders, and storage facilities.</li>
<li><strong>Budgeting, Metrics, & Reporting:</strong> Develops and manages the budget for warehouse operations (CAPEX/OPEX), tracking KPIs, monitoring financial performance, and delivering comprehensive regular management reports.</li>
<li><strong>Standardization & Optimization:</strong> Lead and promote the standardization of warehousing operational processes across all assets to assure optimal productivity and cost reduction.</li>
<li><strong>Compliance Management: </strong>Directing investigations to verify and resolve internal customer complaints related to inventory, availability, and delivery.</li>
<li><strong>Food Safety & Compliance:</strong> Enforces sanitation standards, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and ISO standards to maintain product integrity and safety.</li>
<li><strong>Safety & Security:</strong> Maintains high standards of workplace safety and security, and implements programs to reduce damages and injuries.</li>
<li>Any other tasks assigned by the VP—Supply Chain Management.</li>
</ul>
<h2 dir = "auto">Education</h2>
<p dir = "auto">Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering. </p>
<h2 dir = "auto">Experience</h2>
<ul dir="auto">
<li>10+ years of experience in logistics & warehouse operations.</li>
<li>5+ years of managerial role within logistics & warehouse operations.</li>
<li>Experience in flour/feed operations planning and scheduling—desirable.</li>
<li>Experience in managing raw materials, finished products, and storing parts.</li>
<li>Experience in managing risks and hazards in unloading operations, transportation, warehouse operations, and distribution.</li>
<li>Experience in industrial infrastructure management, project execution, commissioning, and facilities maintenance.</li>
<li>Experience in estimating, budgeting, and cost control.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with logistics & warehouse management systems.</li>
</ul>
<h2 dir = "auto">Know-How</h2>
<ul dir="auto">
<li>Knowledge of the Interrelation of various manufacturing services, distribution, sales, and technical functions</li>
<li>Good knowledge of HSE (Confined Space, Process Safety, HAZOP, Managing Risks and Hazards, and Emergency Response).</li>
<li>Technical understanding of the Manufacturing Food industry</li>
<li>ISO standards and policies.</li>
<li>Knowledge of warehouse management best practices.</li>
