Job Title Global Perspectives Teacher Academic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field such as International Studies, Social Sciences, English, History, Geography, Political Science, or a relevant discipline. A recognized teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or an equivalent teaching certification. A Master's degree is an advantage. Experience A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience. Experience teaching Cambridge Global Perspectives or another Cambridge International curriculum is preferred. Experience in inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and research-based teaching is preferred. Job Description Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Global Perspectives lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum and the school's educational standards. Develop students' critical thinking, research, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Guide students in conducting independent and collaborative research on local, national, and global issues. Encourage students to analyze multiple perspectives and develop evidence-based arguments. Plan, supervise, and assess individual and group projects in accordance with curriculum requirements. Design and implement a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic progress, providing timely and constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and assessment results. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation. Integrate technology and digital resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning. Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development programs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and well-being when required. Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and continuous school improvement. Experience preparing students for Cambridge Global Perspectives assessments. Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams. Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom practice. Preferred Certifications Valid teaching license (where applicable). Cambridge Professional Development training or certification. Safeguarding and Child Protection certification.
