Cost Control & Planning Engineer ( Factory Construction)

Job OverviewThe Cost Control & Planning Engineer
will support the client’s project management team by monitoring project
schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring alignment between progress, budget,
and contractual requirements. The role involves detailed planning, reporting,
and analysis to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget..Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review,
and maintain the project schedule (baseline and updates)Monitor project
progress and compare against planned timelinesPerform critical
path analysis and identify potential delaysPrepare and
update progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly)Track project
costs, commitments, and expendituresAnalyze cost
variances and recommend corrective actionsReview
contractors’ schedules, progress reports, and payment applicationsSupport
evaluation of claims, variations, and extensions of time (EOT)Coordinate with
project team, contractors, and consultants on planning issuesEnsure
integration between cost control and project schedulingAssist in risk
analysis and forecasting (time and cost impact)Maintain proper
records of project performance dataRequirementsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s
degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum 5–8
years of experience in planning and cost control for construction projectsExperience in
industrial or factory construction projects is preferredStrong knowledge
of planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft ProjectProficiency in
Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred)Familiarity with
cost control systems and reporting methodsExperience
working in the Middle East is an advantageStrong
analytical and problem-solving skillsFluent in
English (spoken and written) Preferred SkillsKnowledge of
contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC Contracts)Experience in
delay analysis methods (EOT, claims support)Ability to work
with large data sets and generate clear reportsStrong
communication and coordination skills
