JOB PURPOSE: The Chief of Corporate Support Officer provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the administrative, human resources, technology, and communications functions of Mazoon Mining Company. The CCSO ensures all supporting functions operate efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with the Company's strategic objectives, applicable Omani law, MDO shareholder governance requirements, and the directives of the CEO and Board of Directors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: STRATEGIC PLANNING & ADMINISTRATION 1. Strategic Planning & Administration • Develop and implement the administrative strategy in alignment with the Company's overall strategic plan. • Provide strategic advice to the CEO on HR, IT, and communications matters. • Lead the annual planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring for all functions under the CCSO's oversight. • Ensure all administrative policies and procedures are current, compliant with Omani law, and aligned with MDO governance requirements. 2. Human Resources & Omanisation • Oversee the HR & Admin Manager in executing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, and employee relations. • Ensure full compliance with the HR Policy and Procedures Manual as approved by the Board and with Omani Labour Law. • Champion Omanisation targets and structured nationalization plans across the organization. • Drive a positive organisational culture, employee engagement, and workforce wellbeing initiatives. • Oversee general administrative operations including facilities management, fleet, and site support services. TECHNOLOGY & INFORMATION SYSTEMS 3. Technology & Information Systems • Oversee the Technology & Systems Manager to ensure robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure across the Company. • Approve IT strategies, digital transformation initiatives, and technology investment decisions. • Ensure cybersecurity policies, data governance frameworks, and business continuity plans are in place and enforced. • Oversee implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems including ERP, HRMS, and document management platforms. COMMUNICATIONS & GOVERNANCE 4. Communications & Stakeholder Engagement • Oversee the Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Manager in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies. • Ensure effective engagement with local communities, government entities, and media. • Review and approve all official communications, press releases, and public relations materials. • Maintain positive relationships with relevant government ministries, regulatory bodies, and the shareholder (MDO). 5. Governance & Compliance • Ensure all administrative and support functions operate in compliance with applicable Omani laws, MDO governance requirements, and Company policies. • Develop and maintain an up-to-date suite of administrative policies and procedures aligned with best practice. • Submit regular reports to the CEO regarding the performance of all functions under the CCSO's supervision. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly desirable. Certifications: CIPD, SHRM, PMP, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred. Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy industrial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. • Progressive experience in administration, HR, or corporate services management. • Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry sector is an advantage. • GCC regional experience is preferred.
