General Practitioners (MoH Oman) Vacancy

The Ministry of Health (MOH), Sultanate of Oman, is seeking qualified, compassionate, and dedicated General Practitioners to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services across MOH healthcare establishments. The General Practitioner will deliver preventive, diagnostic, acute, and chronic medical care to diverse patient populations in line with Ministry of Health clinical guidelines, medical ethics, and quality standards.
Salary – OMR 1200 per month (best in the industry) and Other benefits as per Oman Labor Law
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS / MD)
Experience: Minimum of 5 to 6 years of continuous post-internship clinical experience as a General Practitioner or Hospital Medical Officer. (Internship period cannot be counted toward the required work experience).
Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English (required)

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Diagnosis: Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret basic laboratory/diagnostic tests, and accurately diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions.
Treatment & Management: Prescribe evidence-based medications, formulate management plans, and perform outpatient minor surgical or clinical procedures as per MOH protocols.
Referrals: Refer patients appropriately to specialized secondary/tertiary MOH hospitals when patient condition requires advanced intervention.
Preventive Health & Education: Counsel patients on preventive care, lifestyle interventions, chronic disease self-management, maternal-child health, and vaccination schedules.
