Research Assistant (Postgraduate)

Job Function

Research Assistant in the research project entitled “Developing of electrocatalysts for formic acids production” A ‘Sharqiyah University, Oman, with grant no. ASU/IRG/24/25/01.

Responsibilities

Assist the principal investigator (PI) in the following:1. Conducting experimental work related to the project.2. Recording, analyzing & interpreting all experimental findings and preparing them for publication.3. Preparation of figure/diagrams for presentations and publications.4. Communicating obtained results and data with other project members. 5. Preparation of research/review articles for publication in indexed journals.6. Participation in writing and editing the annual report of the project.

1. Proven ability to work in the lab and perform biological tests2. Ability to work without direct supervision 3. Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data using excel and related software4. Excellent writing skills of research articles for journal publications5. Excellent presentation skills6. Publish research articles and review papers in indexed journals7. Participating as a speaker in international conferences.

Qualification

Hold a PhD degree in chemistry with a focus on electrocatalysis. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and publications in electrocatalyst design, preparation, and their application to the electro-oxidation/reduction of alcohols, acids, water, and CO2.
