Job purpose
Implement and executes the Warehouse strategy, processes and activities providing analysis and recommendations as well implementing best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Materials Management

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Implement warehouse processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate and supervise all on-going Warehouse activities; monitor the KPIs for third part 3PL Contractor.
Ensure that Contractor staff at WH are fully compliant with RPI Warehouse Policies and Procedure and their implementation.
Supervise, train, and coach warehouse staff activities and day to day warehouse work.
Design new Warehouses based on space optimization.
Improve warehouse operations efficiency.
Ensure the proper preservation of spare parts, chemicals, catalysts, and other requirements & OEMs guidelines be maintained.
Develop risk matrix for chemical warehouse and their mitigation plan.
Ensure that all chemicals and Catalyst are preserve according to MSDS provided by manufacturers.
Supervise all activities for receiving materials. Ensure all materials are SAP codes and assign the binning and labelling.
Develop team KPIs to measure performance for 3PL contractor. Share the reporting with Contractor’s Management on a monthly basis.
Ensure that goods provided to sites reflect the company’s policy on quality.
Ensure timely physical verification and audit checks are performed to ensure SAP and physical inventory reconcile. Settle the discrepancies on time.
Observe all Company HSE regulations and monitor subordinates to ensure full compliance with all necessary rules and regulations in order to minimize the hazardous possibilities from storing, handling and transporting materials, which pose a high risk to the Company if mishandled.

Education requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Production Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent.

Language

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

Background and experience

Competencies and skills

Supervisor: Relevant experience is 2-4 years in same function, preferable same role.

All:

Oil and Gas / Energy industry experience essential
Deep working understanding of Procurement practices.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Soft:

Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Strong Communication skills (including verbal and written).
Strong Negotiation skills.
Analytical skills

Technical:

Computer literacy including MS Office
Procurement practices.
