This role ensures that HR procedures are applied effectively, policies are followed, and employee performance and development are monitored and enhanced. The HR Specialist works closely with faculty, staff, and management to provide accurate HR data, conduct assessments, and support decision-making processes that contribute to a high-performing and well-structured academic workforce.</strong></p> <p><strong>______</strong></p> <p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Performance Management & Evaluations</strong></p> <p><strong>• Coordinate and implement the college’s performance appraisal system for faculty and staff.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Collect, review, and analyze performance data to ensure accurate evaluations.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Provide guidance and support to managers in setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Identify opportunities for employee development based on evaluation outcomes.</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>HR Operations</strong></p> <p><strong>• Oversee day-to-day HR processes, including employee records, contract management, and HR documentation.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Ensure HR procedures comply with labor laws, college policies, and best practices.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Assist in payroll processing, leave management, and benefits administration.</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Training and Development Support</strong></p> <p><strong>• Work with department heads to identify training needs based on performance reviews.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Coordinate staff development programs and track participation and outcomes.</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Policy Implementation and Compliance</strong></p> <p><strong>• Support the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies related to performance and HR operations.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Ensure all HR practices are consistent with college regulations and applicable labor laws.</strong></p> <p><strong>Undertake any other HR-related tasks assigned by the Director to support the department and college objectives.</strong></p> <p><strong>______</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</strong></p> <p><strong>______</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <p><strong>• Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Experience in an educational or academic environment is an advantage.</strong></p> <p><strong>______</strong></p> <p><strong>Knowledge</strong></p> <p><strong>• Understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Knowledge of higher education operations and faculty administration.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll processes, and HR reporting tools.</strong></p> <p><strong>______</strong></p> <p><strong>Technical & Work-Based Skills</strong></p> <p><strong>• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.</strong></p> <p><strong>• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.</strong></p> <p></p> <h6></h6>
