Electronics Technician – Audio & Musical Equipment

Thomsun Trading Establishment is looking for a skilled and hands-on Electronics Technician to join our team in Oman. The role will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of electronic, musical, and professional audio equipment.The ideal candidate should have strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in electronics and audio equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair electronic faults in musical instruments, audio equipment, amplifiers, mixers, speakers, and related products.Troubleshoot both electronic and electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment.Carry out component-level repairs, including replacement of faulty components, soldering, and PCB-related repairs.Perform testing and quality checks on repaired equipment before returning it to customers or stock.Identify technical issues accurately and provide suitable repair solutions.Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment when required.Maintain proper records of repairs, parts used, and equipment status.Coordinate with the sales and showroom teams regarding technical issues and customer requirements.Assist with warranty inspections and repair assessments.Maintain the workshop, tools, equipment, and spare parts in an organized manner.Follow company procedures and safety standards at all times.RequirementsDiploma or technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.2–5 years of relevant experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role.Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and troubleshooting techniques.Hands-on experience with soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and electronic testing equipment.Experience repairing audio equipment, amplifiers, speakers, mixers, musical instruments, or professional AV equipment will be highly advantageous.Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams/schematics.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to learn and work with different brands and types of equipment.Interested candidates are invited to apply with their updated CV on careers@thomsun.ae.
