Senior Systems Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network devices, firewalls, and endpoint systems.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, system availability, and capacity to ensure high availability and business continuity.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions, including regular testing and validation.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VPNs, wireless networks, and firewall security.
• Perform system administration, patch management, upgrades, and infrastructure hardening in accordance with security best practices.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives by implementing security controls, managing endpoint protection, monitoring vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and resolve complex infrastructure, server, and network-related issues.
• Manage IT assets, software licenses, warranties, vendor contracts, and maintenance renewals.
• Lead infrastructure implementation projects, system migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and SLA compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and infrastructure reports.
• Support IT governance, change management, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Participate in digital transformation initiatives and recommend technology improvements to enhance business operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
