Job Function

The Admissions/Registration Officer provides service-oriented support for students applying for and accepted in programs; validates documents and admission of students according to established procedures; registering students in courses/programs and communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding admissions, transfer credits, registration and records.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in Processing the admission of students in accordance with both internal and external policies and procedures by providing assessment, evaluation, and validation of documents.
2. Assist in Processing the registration of students in a wide range of programs by applying various procedures.
3. Assist in Processing the admission of students in accordance with both internal and external policies and procedures by providing assessment, evaluation and validation of documents.
4. Assist in Processing the registration of students in a wide range of programs by applying various procedures.
5. Assist in liaising with the MoHERI regarding scholarships, allowances, postponements and withdrawals.
6. Liaises frequently with Finance department staff with respect to fees and accepting payments to be forwarded to Finance.
7. Liaise with several Ministries and private companies regarding scholarships, allowances, postponements, and withdrawals.
8. Creates, maintains, and verifies student files and course records for internal and external use including the production of official transcripts.
9. Maintains electronic and printable information packages for admissions, registration, and graduation for a wide range of programs.
10. Maintain and file all student records in a secure environment.
11. Responds to email, telephone, and in person inquiries about admissions, registration, and graduation, and resolves day-to-day problems in these areas.
12. Maintains confidentiality of documents and records.
13. Assists in the training and coordination of other staff in the department.
14. Provides administrative support such as producing notices, staff meetings and training notes, as well as record-keeping.
15. Assist in liaising frequently with Finance department staff with respect to fees and accepting payments to be forwarded to Finance.
16. Any other task assigned by line manager.

Experience

Fresh graduate or with Experience

Skills

Excellent communication and computer skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to deal with students, faculty and staff in a diplomatic manner.

Qualification

Diploma degree from an accredited university in IT program or any related field.
