Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesJob Title: Electrical DraughtsmanLocation: OmanIndustry: Construction / MEP ProjectsExperience Required: Minimum 4+ Years (GCC Experience Mandatory)Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draughtsman to join our construction team in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and reviewing electrical drawings for construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including proven experience working on construction projects within the GCC region.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.Develop electrical layouts including lighting, power, low-current systems, fire alarm systems, and earthing systems.Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.Review project specifications, tender documents, and design drawings to produce required drafting deliverables.Update drawings based on site conditions, client comments, and consultant instructions.Prepare material quantity take-offs and drawing schedules as required.Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.Assist the project team in resolving design and coordination issues during construction.RequirementsDiploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.Minimum 4 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsman in construction projects.Mandatory GCC experience (Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, or Kuwait).Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, MEP coordination, and construction methodologies.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Familiarity with local and international electrical standards and codes.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Preferred QualificationsExperience in large-scale commercial, residential, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects.Knowledge of BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.Experience in preparing authority submission drawings and as-built documentation.Skills RequiredAutoCAD DraftingElectrical Shop DrawingsMEP CoordinationTechnical Drawing InterpretationAttention to DetailTime ManagementProblem SolvingTeam CollaborationSalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Company accommodation and transportation (as per company policy).Medical insurance.Annual leave and air ticket as per Oman Labour Law.Other benefits as per company policy.
