This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning, adaptable to emerging technologies, and committed to maintaining the integrity and resilience of enterprise IT services.</p> <p></p> <p><strong><ins>Key Tasks and Duties</ins></strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform routine system administration and technical support for Unix infrastructure and SAN storage systems, ensuring continuous system availability.</li> <li>Monitor performance and health of both virtual and physical servers, proactively identifying and addressing issues across Unix platforms.</li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting operating system and hardware issues; escalate complex incidents to senior team members when needed.</li> <li>Provide day-to-day BAU Unix System Administration support and contribute to implementation efforts for domain-related project requirements.</li> <li>Apply and manage security patches and updates for Linux systems using approved automation tools and procedures.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to meet audit, compliance, and security standards aligned with organizational IT policies.</li> <li>Administer LVM configurations, allocate LUNs, and oversee system performance and high availability at both hardware and software levels.</li> <li>Respond to service requests and incidents within designated Service Level Agreements, maintaining a customer-focused approach.</li> <li>Utilize system monitoring tools to track infrastructure status and proactively resolve alerts.</li> <li>Assist in system performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize resource usage and efficiency.</li> <li>Support implementation of cybersecurity measures as per organizational guidelines and help ensure continuous security posture.</li> <li>Participate in internal and external IT audits, providing relevant documentation and ensuring compliance with data governance practices.</li> <li>Contribute to infrastructure upgrade projects, including deployment, testing, and validation of new systems or components.</li> <li>Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, operational workflows, incident histories, and change activities.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong><ins>Experience</ins></strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience in Unix system administration, configuration, and support within containerized environments.</li> <li>Foundational knowledge of OpenShift cluster management, including monitoring, performance optimization, and basic security best practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with RedHat products, Dell EMC storage solutions, and data center operational workflows.</li> <li>Exposure to IT infrastructure monitoring tools and performance management systems is preferred.</li> </ul>
