Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesThe Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements. The role involves close coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams to ensure successful project implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, including STP, WTP, RO, UF, MBR, and sludge handling systemsReview and coordinate engineering drawings, P&IDs, process layouts, and technical specificationsCoordinate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teamsMonitor site installation of mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works related to treatment plantsEnsure compliance with process design, quality standards, and HSE requirementsAssist in the preparation and tracking of project schedules, progress reports, and milestonesReview vendor submittals, technical datasheets, and method statementsSupport procurement activities, including technical evaluations and FAT/SAT coordinationIdentify technical issues and support troubleshooting during installation and commissioningLiaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities for approvals and inspectionsAssist in testing, commissioning, performance guarantees, and project handoverQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering5–7 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects (EPC / O&M / utility)Strong knowledge of water & wastewater treatment processes and equipmentAbility to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specificationsFamiliarity with international standards and local authority regulationsProficiency in MS Office and project management toolsStrong coordination, communication, and reporting skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with STP, WTP, desalination, industrial wastewater, or reuse projectsKnowledge of RO membranes, pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, and dosing systemsExperience in commissioning and performance testingPMP or equivalent certification is an advantageExperience in GCC / Oman projects is preferred
