Finland Oman School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher Assistant to join our international school community. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and contributing to an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment aligned with the school’s values and IB philosophy.

Job Summary
The SEN Teacher Assistant supports SEN Teachers in providing academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students with identified learning difficulties. The role focuses on promoting student inclusion, well-being, and active participation in the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Support students during classroom activities and learning sessions.
• Assist SEN Teachers in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Help manage student behavior and encourage positive social interaction.
• Prepare and organize learning materials and classroom resources.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support when required.
• Assist students with daily routines and classroom transitions.
• Work closely with SEN Teachers, homeroom teachers, and support staff.
• Communicate student observations and progress with the SEN team.
• Participate in meetings and support plans when required.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Follow school safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
• IELTS minimum score of 6 is required for non-native English speakers.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse school environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development.
• Experience supporting students with learning difficulties is an advantage.
• IB or international school experience is an advantage.

Working Conditions
• Full-time position based on the academic calendar.
• 5 working days per week.
• Flexibility to attend school events, meetings, workshops, and training sessions when required.
